How can I reduce discomfort with these rubber bands to pull my teeth in place after the teeth get removed?
I 2 teeth pulled on my lower jaw (premolars) and my orthodontist put these bands in my molars where the braces start to my dog, because there is now a gap between these ... and it feels really uncomfortable, not painful, but as a feeling that I must bite furiously, how can I correct this and how long the discomfort last? Debbie ... my bicuspid gaps are painless, it hurts when I bite on my molars regularly now (where the group begins.)
There is an oral product called Anbesol to numb the gums. I DAB on some area which is causing the discomfort the numb so you can get some relief. It numbs the sensory nerves, so I hope you have a sense of biting decreases / goes. Tylenol or Advil may help, too. Most of the discomfort should disappear in about 48 to 36 hours. Hopefully the anbesol help until it collapses.
