LG LCD 47 "LG50FD Photo mode resets to live?

I am from LG50FD LCD TV and find that the TV set still default image for VIVID settings, even if the last displayed picture mode has been changed to a user defined one. Also, once the user defined settings, the display automatically switches back vivid picture again. Any idea if this is normal or should I be concerned about. Thank you in advance!

This does not seem normal and does not make sense. Consult your TV manual to see if you should take some action like "Save settings" to preserve your terms. However, what is unusual. If you do nothing in the manual, contact LG customer service (there should be information in the manual on how to do) and explain the problem. You can have a Series defective.
